Louis-Philippe Lapierre-Boire (LP) is the COO of Finkl Steel. LP began his career with Finkl Steel – Sorel as a Metallurgist in 2009, and subsequently served as a Product Manager, Distribution Manager, Quality & Product Development Manager, and VP of Sales & General Manager (Sorel). From 2016-2018, LP also served as Chief Metallurgist for the Finkl Steel Business Unit, leading Metallurgy and Quality, while located in Chicago, IL. In 2019, LP moved back to Sorel to lead the Manufacturing, Engineering and Maintenance as Vice President of Operations for Finkl Steel – Sorel and later Vice President and General Manager for Finkl Steel – Sorel. He was promoted to his current role in 2025. LP holds 3 patents for our next generation mold steels, including CoreBloc, MDX and MLQX.
LP has a Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Laval University and an Executive MBA from McGill-HEC University.
